8 month update

Lucy at 8 months:
-got 2 more teeth over Thanksgiving - 4 total!
-can crawl, sort of (I call it "army crawl") She gets around fast.
-is wearing 12 month clothing in most brands. She is stinking tall!
-is very smart already; you can't fool or trick her
-holds her own bottle
-likes to play with the kitten

This is Luna- we finally decided on a name. (It means "moon".. something like that.)
She looks like a werewolf, so we found it fitting. She is a sweet cat.

She has discovered her tongue; how to stick it out,
wiggle it, talk with it, leave it out all day.... you get the idea :)

I meant to write a blog on Thanksgiving. Its so easy to get caught up in all the holiday shopping hype, that I feel we often forget what we are thankful for. Mine is pretty obvious, I think..

This year, I am thankful for Heavenly Father's plan. Events in my life have taken me by surprise in the past year or so, but I always end up eventually understanding why they happen, and that they are no "accident" after all. Without His plan and Him deciding it was my turn to venture into motherhood, I would not be the person I am. I've learned more from my daughter and being a new mom in the past year then I have in all my 25 years. I've realized that I am capable of so much more than I ever thought possible. I guess this is what it means to be a parent. I am thankful for that.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and although it's passed, ask you to take a moment and think about what you are grateful for this year.
