Park City

We had the chance to use a friend's condo in Park City, since they weren't able to go. It was only for a few days, but we certainly needed a little break from the daily hum-drum around here. It was great! I'm quickly learning, however, that mountains, skiing, hiking, and whatever else comes with this climate is not for me. Its fine for a few years though. I guess my heart just belongs to the east, humidity and all. Anyways, we had a nice trip.

The first month of Lucy's life, she slept in this "Moses" basket. We decided to take it with us on our trip, since she still fit. Just barely though... I forgot to calculate that she moves around a lot now, and was woken up at 2 am by her, and made a makeshift bed for her on the pull out couch/bed in the living room at the condo.

She loves to put her feet up in the air and now hangs onto them.
She is pretty content just looking at her toes.
I was trying to get ready one morning to go out and see the town, and she got pretty involved in watching "Shrek 3". She likes TV, but will only watch it for so long before she gets cranky. I don't like her to watch a lot of TV, though. Usually just Baby Einstein, and that's it. But hey, it was a vacation.
We asked his parents to come up for the day, since it was a holiday here (Pioneer day). We went to the Park City Mountain Resort and went on the Alpine Slide. I was pretty terrified, actually. The Ski Lift was the worst part for me. At any moment I was thinking we would plummet to the ground. Or course you know me, I am afraid of my own shadow! But we lived, even if I went down the slide slower than molasses...

Some houses we saw in the distance while on a nightly walk

Josh made fun of me for taking a picture of this, but I have a soft spot for anything of German descent. This was the name of one of the ski lodges next to us. I'm almost sure this is Austrian though. Pretty much the same. Plus, I've been singing the song for weeks, since its on Lucy's lullaby cd.

We took a short drive to Wasatch Mountain National Park, and went to a place called "Cascade Springs". From this trip, I learned to always check to make sure I have enough wipes.... Turns out we only had one left, a major diaper blow out, and a bunch of DQ napkins in the glove box. I'll let you do the math...

Mt. Timpanogas

This was the night that we got home. She was so happy to be
back to her regular surroundings and routine.
