Baby stuff

....And so the nesting urge has started to kick in!

I didn't want to do a theme because I get tired of the same old thing really quick, and themes can be hard to change. My mom and I have very similar tastes, and she has been finding neat things here and there that I can use to decorate. I love vintage things, so that's the "look" I'm going for. Its so easy and fun to mix and match these things! I'm collecting these things for now and getting some pretty good ideas on how I want the room to look when I finally do decorate.


This is a really old, hand embroidered quilt my mom found, and I absolutely love it! I'm going to use it as either a wall hanging, or maybe a big curtain.

I'm taking this old Beatrix Potter calender and am going to buy frames for them. Possibly paint them white and distress them for the vintage look. We'll see.. Also this little bear looking thing is really old. I might try and find more like these to put up on a shelf or something.


This is a crib bumper pad with matching sheets. Martha Stewart! My mom is such a thrift-store guru- she paid about 8 bucks for all of it!

A bit wrinkly yet, but its a crib bed skirt, by Pottery Barn. Less than 3 bucks! Another point for Mom! She always scores big when she goes. She also found some more cute baby clothes there that look brand spanking new!
That's about it thus far. I've got the basics now and I think these things will last me a long time, and can work for a girl or boy's room. Sorry if this blog bores you all- its exciting for me, though! :)
