28 weeks

ok.. I am no longer going to apologize for crappy pictures. just look and laugh if you must.

I had a follow up ultrasound today. They had to recheck the placenta. Last time I went they said it was low-laying, which is not the norm. It usually attaches up high, where that is the most blood-rich supply for the baby. When the placenta is too low, it covers the cervix, or "exit" for the baby, which means that the mom would have to get a c-section, usually done earlier than full term. So I won't know what the story is until they call me with the results.

It was really exciting to see the baby again though! She was sleeping through the whole ultrasound, which was a surprise because the tech was moving the scanner thing around a whole lot. You could see her little eyelids and tiny little nostrils and everything! My mom was there with me again, and looked at her forehead, and said, "Wow, what a nice forehead! Looks like she got yours!" Gee, thanks. Oh well. Its a large personal feature of mine that I've come to appreciate, now that I've grown into it. ;)

I'm getting really anxious for her to be born. I'm so curious as to what she'll be like. What will she be interested in? Who will she look more like? What will she want to be when she grows up? I'm excited to find out!

I didn't get the greatest of pictures this time. But here is a good shot of her face. Luckily she was facing this way today!
